Got change in my pocket, shoes on my feet Food in my belly, and a nice warm place to sleep And I'm so happy right now I'm so happy right now I want all you people to be happy with me, cause I'm so happy right now Got a family that loves me, my friends are as cool as can be Well I ain't got a girlfriend yet, but a bunch that's sweet on me And I'm so happy right now I'm so happy right now I want all you people to be happy with me, cause I'm so happy right now I'm so happy right now I'm so happy right now I want all you people to be happy with me, cause I'm so happy right now And I'm so happy right now I'm so happy right now I want all you people to be happy with me, cause I'm so happy right now Cause I'm so happy right now Cause I'm so happy right now

Darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you Darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you I'm a sucker for your green eyes Your mystery's bound to make most men blue Oh I got you figured out Wicked ways, I know your every move So darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you Yes darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you Long legs, black hair Cold heart, tell me to turn away My common sense is good as gone A tractor beam, I'm stuck here in your gaze So darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you Darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you Oh you'll probably wreck my life But darling you are coming home with me Treat me like a hungry dog Beggin' and a scratchin' at your knee So darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you Yes darling take my blood pressure It's bound to rise, I'm bound to fall for you I'm bound to fall for you I'm bound to fall for you I'm bound to fall for you I'm bound to fall for you

We were barefoot in the grass We were naked in the sun With a blanket in a field Constructing some love We were catching the breeze We were feeling just fine We had a full bottle of whiskey That was empty by night Darling I'll move to the mountain Darling I'll move to the mountain for you For you For you We were dancing by the fire We were jumping in the lake We were going buck-ass wild Makin' mistakes We were catching the breeze We were feeling just fine We had a full bottle of whiskey That was empty by night Darling I'll move to the mountain Darling I'll move to the mountain for you For you For you We were building a house We were paying our debt We were swinging our hammers Just building a nest We were catching the breeze We were feeling just fine We had a full bottle of whiskey That was empty by night Darling I'll move to the mountain Darling I'll move to the mountain for you For you For you We were growing so old And dancing with the willows Now please don't leave me weeping Just tug at my pillow Cause when we get to heaven We'll be just fine As long as they got whiskey That never subsides Heaven is the mountain Heaven is the mountain with you With you With you

Yellow Moon 06:08
When night falls and everything turns black When night falls and everything turns black Yellow moon is all that you need Yellow moon will guide you back to me And the owl cry sends shivers down your spine And the owl cry sends shivers down your spine Yellow moon is all that you need Yellow moon will guide you back to me And the wolves howl and their eyes that glow in the dark And the wolves howl and their eyes that glow in the dark Yellow moon is all that you need Yellow moon will guide you back to me And the wind calls like a whisper in the trees And the wind calls like a whisper in the trees Yellow moon is all that you need Yellow moon will guide you back to me When the fear is coming on The moon will guide you to these arms Hold you close Until we're safe at dawn Yellow moon is all that you need Yellow moon will guide you back to me

Devil Fairy 04:30
She held my arm, I just wrapped her in it Water was warm, she said come on it All the way home All the way home Got my hair so wet, enough to run my fingers through it Laying in her bed, cause I knew that she would loose it Now she's gone She's all the way gone I'm stuck here in her web, but she didn't chain me to it Echoes in my head, her voice making music Now she calls The rocks are what I'm falling on Her halo is gone, she's dancing like a devil fairy Heart says it's wrong, head says extraordinary All is wrong And God I know it's wrong I'm afraid of my love My love is falling apart I'm afraid of my love My love is falling apart And that is all That's all of my heart

Sore Eyes 07:29
We went down to Scottown, my body ran out on my mind An Alabama sun crossed the West Virginia line We went out on our minds To better our lives To break for a while To better our lives Black silhouettes pressed firm against the sky In a powder-blue stretch at least a mile wide We saw the sight Cause we had sore eyes To break for a while For our poor sore eyes The neighbors were lovely, always waved when they passed by They're never so bubbly in the reality of life Can you see the light Of those fireflies Just being a guide To better our lives Comes to a close, kinda makes you wanna cry Like a cat up on the roof, and it's the highest she's ever climbed A relief and a sigh Now a piece in your mind To hold for your life For your poor sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes For your sore eyes A relief and a sigh

about

The love-child of seven young men with questionable interests and influences.

"In Velvet" is a collection of songs and instrumentals written by Dave Frazier and Josh Gwinn; after the initial writing process, all members of the band take part in extensive arranging and collaboration, taking what began as a singer-songwriter acoustic tune and running it through filters of jazz, alternative, rock, folk, fusion, and classical influences.

We recorded our album in-house, with a great deal of help from our friends and family.

We hope you enjoy.

about

Tribe of the Elk Huntington, West Virginia

Tribe of the Elk began as a songwriting duo between lead vocalists Dave Frazier and Josh Gwinn. It was not long before they saw the potential in the songs and included saxophone, drums, bass, and yet another guitar to Josh and Dave's two. Countless songs, shows, and an album later, Tribe has evolved into a power house mixing influences in jazz, ambient rock, folk rock, and a touch of rowdy. ... more
